For children: boat trip with treasure hunt

Take the family by the arm as you head towards Fruens Bøge Forest with Odense Aafart. A mystery has happened here, and we need your help to solve it so that the citizens of Odense can breathe a sigh of relief again!

Adventure, history, stories, riddles and brain teasers - all wrapped up in the beautiful nature of Odense around the river.

Once you've sailed to Fruens Bøge Forest, you have one hour to solve six riddles and crack the code to the golden treasure before the boat takes you back to Munke Mose. It's important that you all pay attention - Piggy Gorm might be lurking around Fruens Bøge looking for the same clues as you - or trying to trick you. You're racing against time to find the secret password!

On this tour you have the opportunity to experience the nature of Fruens Bøge and its landmarks in a completely new and different way, all while solving the mystery behind Theodor's Secret Golden Treasure. It's the perfect opportunity to experience nature, enjoy each other's company and have a good and different experience on Aafarten's tour boat.

If you crack the code before time runs out, your children will receive a small prize when they get off the boat in Munke Mose.

Duration:
2 hours (incl. boat trip out and back. I.e. 30 minutes sailing from Munke Mose-Fruens Bøge, 1 hour treasure hunt and 30 minutes return sailing from Fruens Bøge-Munke Mose)

How it works:
You can go on a treasure hunt every day we sail. You book tickets for our Round trip on Odense River and buy a treasure hunt kit. You can buy the treasure hunt either as an add-on online when you book the Odense River Tour or in our ticket office. Each family must have 1 set (we recommend a maximum of 5 people per set).
You will receive the material in our ticket office before departure.
You must listen to an introductory story on your phones before departure or on board the boat (we recommend headphones).
Remember to book your return sailing so you have 1 hour in Fruens Bøge forest.
When you return to Munke Mose, hand in your treasure map at the ticket office and the children will receive a small prize.

Departures:
You decide when you want to go. You book regular tickets for the tour boat and purchase 'Theodor's Secret Golden Treasure' either online or at our ticket office. Remember to book your return trip so you have 1 hour to stay in Fruens Bøge.

How does it work?

You book tickets for the Odense River Tour (with a 1-hour stay in Fruens Bøge) and purchase a treasure hunt kit. You will receive the treasure hunt material at the ticket office before departure.
Either before departure or on board the boat, you play a story on your phones.
We recommend headphones to listen to the opening story.

Can we bring a pram?

Yes, you have the option to purchase a ticket for pram/pushchair

Can I bring dogs?

Yes, if you think it will be safe to sail and that there are many people around it.

How long does the journey take?

Theodor's Secret Golden Treasure takes 2 hours in total. You sail approximately 30 minutes from Munke mose to Fruens Bøge. On board you'll hear the story of Theodor and the secret gold treasure. You'll then disembark in Fruens Bøge, where you have 1 hour to complete all the tasks. The boat will then sail back to Munke Mose.
