If you're ready for an extensive play day and are willing to go for a good walk, the play route along Odense River is the ideal choice. The route stretches over approximately 7 kilometres and offers 13 new play and activity areas. The starting point is at the playground at Skovalléen, which was mentioned earlier. From here you pass several different playgrounds along the river. Along the route you'll come across a balance course at Fruens Bøge, the previously mentioned playground in Munke Mose, a giant swing at Nonnebakken, a fitness centre at Paaskestræde and a large playground at Christiansgade, equipped with climbing frames, play towers, playhouses and a football pitch. In other words, there's something for everyone. Of course, you don't have to visit all 13 playgrounds at once. You can visit half of them or just choose the playgrounds you want to explore.
