If you need a different experience - take a canoe trip on Odense Å.

At Odense Aafart we offer canoe hire, so you can enjoy the surroundings of Odense River at your own pace.

Canoeing is the perfect excuse to spend some time with family or friends. During the trip, be aware that there may be tour boats on the river that you will have to give way to.

For safety reasons, a maximum of 2 adults and 2 small children (0-20kg) or 3 adults in a canoe. It is of course possible to rent extra canoes if you are more than the above.

Life jackets are included in the canoe bed so you can have a safe and enjoyable trip on the river. If there is someone under the age of 15 in the boat, there must be at least one person over the age of 18.

Of course, both paddles and life jackets are included with our canoe rental. The canoes must be ordered at least one day in advance and will then be delivered to the desired location.

You can choose from 6 different routes:

  • Munke Mose - Munke Mose (City route)
  • Munke Mose – Stige Ø

Which routes to choose from

Our canoe hire offers 6 different routes. You can start and stop at Bellinge, Skovsøen, Munke Mose, Ejby Mølle and Stige Ø. Read more at www.aafartenskanoudlejning.dk under ‘Routes’

Can I bring dogs?

Yes, if you think it will be comfortable canoeing.

How early can we start?

Canoe hire starts from 09:00

When should the canoes be returned at the latest?

The canoes must be returned no later than 18:00 at the agreed drop-off point.

Where can you park?

Parking depends on the chosen route and the starting point of the route. You may find our page useful www.aafartenskanoudlejning.dk/parkering

Can the canoes be booked over several days?

Yes, it is possible to rent over several days. Dates are selected directly when booking in the webshop. The price for hire is per day.

Are vests and paddles included?

Yes! Naturally, life jackets are included for both children and adults, as well as two paddles for each canoe.

How many people can you fit in a canoe?

Our canoe is a Lind 525, the largest and most stable on the market. There is room for 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children. Please note that the canoes have a load capacity of 400kg, including luggage. See more under the Safety and regulations tab at www.aafartenskanoudlejning.dk

What happens if I don't deliver the canoe at the agreed location or later than 6pm?

If a canoe is left somewhere other than the agreed location, a fee of DKK 500 per hour spent searching for the canoe is payable. Always a minimum of one hour.
If delivered later than 6pm, it also costs 500 DKK per hour (min 500 DKK for late deliveries)

When can you sail from Bellinge?

Unfortunately, sailing on the route from Bellinge is not permitted before 1 June.

What happens if equipment is damaged or lost?

All gear and equipment that is missing or damaged upon delivery must be replaced.
